It's also likely you won't get the exact same results twice in a row. I've gotten everywhere from 175-180 with my KingMax 1GB SD Card.

Any suggested settings for wifi playback? I have a couple episodes of Arrested Development that I've been streaming:

175 MB
21 minutes
540x352
23.976 fps
143 kbit/s

It works on both the hx4700 and X50v, but pauses every few minutes on both. It pauses more often with the X50v. I was hoping I could tweak BetaPlayer's settings to improve this.

Strange. Are you sure the 'Intel2700G Decoder' option was selected? For me 350MB 42minutes TV series stream without a glich (but I didn't use wlan encryption)

Might be the range to the wireless router. Weak connection or something...

2700G Decoder was checked. I'm right next to the router (Netgear MR814) so signal strength is not an issue. I'll try it without WEP tomorrow and see if that helps. I'll also try a different router. One of the episodes is 21:11 long and pauses at (times are approximate):

9:09
11:20
12:03
12:44
15:00

It seems strange that it goes 9 minutes, then 2 minutes, then pauses twice in 40 seconds, then goes 2 minutes and them doesn't pause again.

Looks like you ran these from RAM. This is something that I have never tried. About 10% and 15% higher respectively than running off of built in storage. Impressive. These are the highest that I have seen. This would defenitely show the best case scenario for the X50v. Cool.

Unfortunately however not a lot of movies (if any short of trailers) will fit into RAM. Hmmm, only if there was a 256MB RAM upgrade for the X50v versus the current 128MB only ... then movies in RAM would be much more likely.

Really cool though.

2700 plugin

Where can I download the 2700 plugin? I see the betaplayer, but what file name on Picards site is for the plugin?

Does this help overall X50v performance or only movies/games?

thanks
shannon

Here are my results. It is interesting to note that with the movies installed in RAM, it benchmarks higher than some of the overclocked numbers I have seen.

I have BetaPlayer install on built in storage. I imagine if it was installed in RAM, one could get even higher scores ... :approve:

I could not get the one AVI into RAM. Good job on your part. Mind you I did not really try to hard either ... maybe when I have more time ...

Although high numbers are great and I love them, but shouldn't those from SD or CF be used? What is the point of bench marking movies in Ram if there is only 30-40 available after most people do installs of their programs? I dont know a single movie I could fit into ram but a few trailers.
Unless:
Ram=very high FPS=good to show friends and also everyone has the same ram and can post comparable numbers where as everyone has different speed and manufactures of SD/CF cards.
CF/SD=numbers we really care about for practical use.
I'll put a movie in my ram with the 128mb update and see what numbers I get if there is any imporvement. Shortly I'll be getting the 2GB SD ultra II and see how it does.
