Well I believe it is worth the upgrade, specially if you use WMP 10 on your PC. It syncs real nice with it and also there is no long wait for it to load up a playlist over your wifi LAN like there is with WMP 9.

Just curious,
If you think that WMP is "crapware," what do you guys (& gals) use?

WMP 10 has come along ways compared to older versions. I mainly use it to sync my Podcast list. But are there better players out there ? Yes there is. For video I use BetaPlayer and for streaming music I use GSPlayer. But for my everyday mp3 listening and specially my Podcast, I use WMP 10. Its just as good as the rest of the mp3 players out there in my book.

Thanks for the links.
I never saw the attraction in watching video files on my PDA. Other than getting others to see what I'm doing. I'll try some more vids with one on the linked progs you posted, maybe it will be enough of a better experience for me to do it more often.

Slight hijack: anything out there that will play recorded TV shows? I haven't looked yet, just wondering if you knew off the top of your head. I can never seem to catch Motorweek, so I have my AllInWonder card set to record it (Fifth Gear too). That would get me watching vids on my Axim!

I like WMP10 a lot better now that emulamer foud the hack and created a program for X50v's that gives you a hardware equalizer. And figuring out how to create a WMP10 playlist without having WMP10 on my PC's helped me appreciate it more.

One big difference between WMP9 for Pocket PC and WMP10 for Pocket PC is how it handles large or Widescreen format movies in Portrait mode. WMP9 would fill the screen with as much as it could handle. WMP10 presents them in a small box in which you see everything but small. I haven't tried a Portait mode fomatted movie yet but I'll download one from ppcvidz tomorrow and report back to this thread.

I just finished a masters...
I only had time to read...
My eyes still hurt...
The last thing that I wanted to do was to squint at a 2 inch movie screen :rolling:

And that is one of the joys of both WMP and BetaPlayer...that ease of flipping the screen to Landscape view!

Watching movies on the PPC was one of the selling points for me. Without a doubt.

All you got to do is set your AIW to record a .mpeg , I use the VCD setting on my AIW , Then just run it through VirtualDub and create a Divx video and play it through the BetaPlayer I mention in the above post.
Just click on link in my Sig. and then look for Divx Encoding in the Nav bar, I show you step by step with pictures on how this is done. Takes like 5-10 min. to encode a half hour show.
