error's from WMencoder
Hi,
i've just had my first attempt at video encoding. it didnt go so well. i was following the guide on the site, using WMencoder. when i set it all up and hit encode i get an error saying "1024 errors were found" and it dumps a 3K file on my drive. the vid's i am trying to encode are .avi format but they have been encoded with DIVx. could this be the problem? as all of the movies that i get are DIVx rip's with the .avi format can anyone give me the name of an encoder, player and other bits of software to convert them to something usable on the ppc? my p.c has almost all of the sound and video codecs installed and will play virtualy any file. the ppc is the axim x30 many thanks netcyber

Download PocketDivxEncoder to encode them to a useable size.
Then use PocketMVP to play the avi file on your axim.

I agreed use pocketdivx endcoder the program is a champ and rocks. I used it and I loved it. Use either PocketMVP or Beta Player to view the video. Why would you want to encode to WMV? Ecoding to uncle Bill's format takes forever and it sucks. I tried it just for a sake and I hated WM encoding process. Support Divx or Xvid and leave WMV to dust!!!!!!
