Question Will x50v shut off eventually when playing audio?

I sometimes listen to audible books at night when falling asleep and have been afraid to use the x50v since what happens if I fall asleep? Will it just keep playing until the battery drains?

I haven't found anything like a "sleep timer" on it when playing audio.

Thanks!

I think it would stay on. I wish I could be more definite but I've never used the Audible software. I'm basing my guess on a bug that pops up every now and then where if Windows Media Player is left running (not playing music, just on in the background) and the Midnite system check occurs previous versions of the PPC OS would not shut off like it should. The good news is it's been rarely reported lately. My advice is to make a full backup and give it a whrill one of these nights.

I think programs like PocketMusic and Pocket Player have sleep timer options.

Pocket Music definitly does have that option, I just checked. Does Audible let you download content in MP3 format? Or better yet has anyone found a program that let's you set a shutoff time for the whole device?

I don't think Audible will let you download in MP3 format from what I can tell. I'm surprised they don't have a sleep timer in Audible but I can't find one. I have battery pack installed but I don't think it has a timer for shutting off the axim. I'll check more closely - maybe there is a way to set it to automatically turn off if the battery drains to a certain point.

Many thanks!
