Which .ogg player?
Hey folks,

Quick question... Is there a way to make WMP10 play .ogg files on my PDA? Okay, if not, what's the best .ogg media player?

Thanks, Seth

I payed for pocketmusic and think it's great! There is a free version of it as well, I'm not sure if the free version supports ogg however.

I also bought PocketMusic for my X50v and I'm having problems with it locking up often. I've e-mailed back and forth with their tech support but there seems to be an issue with PocketMusic and the the X50v. They state they are looking into it.

So for now I don't recommend it for now.

Pros: Smaller filesize and possibly better sounding than MP3.

Cons: Makes your CPU work harder so battery life takes a slight hit versus MP3.

hmmm...battery power doesn't bother me...but if I cud fit more sonmgs...ah wel..I've also found my windows media player on my X3 sounds pretty good...between GS player and all those...easy to configure and easy to use...all that..but no OGG playback..ah well I'll just keep it in mp3 @ 192 Kbps

You would probably find that re-ripping (not converting) to ogg at 160Kb/s would sound as good as 192Kb/s MP3. AAC is another alternative that also typically seems to perform better than MP3.

I have the paid version of Pocketmusic on my X30h with no problems. I don't know what could be wrong for other people, so if you do consider buying the paid version, it would be best to install it as a trial first.

That's part of my problem, Rage. I used the trial and it worked fine which is why I purchased it. However, every since I bought it and downloaded the latest version to my X50v it locks up while playing every time. I've e-mailed Pocket Mind and I am waiting for them to hopefully fix it.

As it is right now, I've removed it and I am using Media Player.

Hopefully I will hear something soon.
