New Version of PocketMVP out! Much improved mpeg etc

http://home.adelphia.net/~mdukette/kits/PocketPC.zip

version .8q is done... has some major improvements in mpeg playback and a few divx 5.03 fixes...

Also (drumroll please) AVI seeking w/o indexing (speeds loadup and saves memory...)

Just remember to use the divx file replacement also posted because the decoder is still slow...

When I saw your post I thought I would give PocketMVP another try. I had difficulties with the previous version as I could get picture but no sound. So I switched to PocketTV and I have had no audio or video problems.

I installed this new version of PocketMVP. Voila, I can get sound now...however, every once in awhile the video freezes up on me for 2-3 seconds..always at the same spots. I don't have any freeze ups with PocketTV.

I was using the same mpeg file for both...I have not tried any Divx files yet to see if the video still freezes.

So far, I am one of those few people who just cannot seem to get PocketMVP to work properly for me.

HELP - I'm giving pocketMVP another try as an .ogg player. I'm running into the same problem I've experienced with previous versions of PocketMVP. It plays a few songs (e.g. 3 or 4) and then powers off my Axim unexpectedly. I have the settings set to shuffle and repeat so it should play continously.....and it should never power off my Ax.

Am I missing something here?

Hmm... Could you explain this a bit more? What file should be replaced and from where?

Thanks!

Cool ogg

.ogg is a music format, it is smaller than the .wma format,
but have the same or even beter sound quality.

since we're all helpers here...

.ogg =does= result in a smaller file size, but is a bit more processor-intensive format than .mp3 (this according to the PMVP help file) I cannot report firsthand on this, as I've been very satisfied with what I hear with .mp3s on the Axim.
