Upgrade for PPC 2002 WMP?

Ok I found on Microsoft downloads an update for PPC 2002 users an update to Windows Media Player. Not sure really what all the update does, but I am one of those that is always updating to the hoards of patches and updates Microsoft releases.

Anyhow, when I try to apply this update it all goes smoothly until I actually try to use it on the Axim. Just gives me a "skin not found" error and closes. I have uninstalled reinstalled, several times. I even went as far as a hard reset and loaded this thing first. Still no go. Anyone know if I am doing it wrong or is this just a crappy Microsoft issue?

Oh, No, Tim. Please uninstall that update.
The Axim already comes with WMP 8.5 you didn't need to get the update. Sorry you had to find out the hard way. I believe that update was for those who had version 7 because that update is 8.0.

Thanks, I figgured that out by reading a bit more on here. I uninstalled it and still didnt work, so I had to do the fatal hard reset. Oh well I guess that is what happens sometimes when you just cant leave well enough alone. Story of my computing carrer...LOL it would be nice if microsoft would acually explain their downloads better, but then that is Microsoft for ya.
