No skin support yet in the player. I'am still busy adding player funtionality before going for the design and look.

I would be satisifed with only sub, srt, smi support and the built in subtitle streams of ogm and mkv :)
This is a very great feature !!! Thanks !!
Possible to add vobsub subtitle support? (sorry, if the sub you mentioned is already refering to vobsub, please ignore this question mark..)

seems to be stable tried between 3 movies. previous next and such multiple times in succession... hasnt crashed or frozen.. performance seems to be within 0.99% of 0.095g from 122.6fps (0.095g) to 121.98fps (0.096). 0.095 (unlabled beta) was 109.8fps, all testin w/ same video.

I forgot to add I was using a 5GB PCMCIA hard drive for the test. That probably explains the framerate.

A lot of people seemed to be confused why subtitle support would be important.

Nowadays a lot of anime is ripped to the OGM file container, which means that the subs are contained directly into the file, not in a separate file. I'm resorting to downloading the AVI versions for now but I still have a huge library of OGM files that I cannot watch because I don't understand enough Japanese.

Also, for external subtitle support, why would I want to re-encode my videos? This is one of the reasons why I didn't get a Zodiac and I sold my GP32. I have a video file on my computer, why should I have to recompress it just to watch it? I want to be able to throw it onto a storage card and watch it without doing anything more complicated than dragging and dropping a file.

I am currently testing the new BetaPlayer. I will advise on any bugs. So far everything is working great! :] I also wanted to say HI to everyone. I've been working alot and been spending most of my time catching up on much needed sleep. It's now 2:00 am. I got home about an hour ago. Should be able to get 4-5 hours sleep before work! :]

Using libavcodec would be slower on ARM and I couldn't use Intel2700G or ATI Imageon 3200 acceleration.

My x50v was on the "auto" mode speed processor. Betaplayer's playlist is working well on the 'maximum performance' and 'normal' modes, BUT not on the 'power-saving' or 'auto' modes. Thanks.

How exactly does this info help you picard_beta? Just curious. And once again this is from a 5GB PCMCIA hard drive. Toshiba is the brand name if that makes a difference.
