BetaPlayer 0.096 needs testing

This release is kinda a release candidate for the next stable version. If you want to help please upgrade and test it more thoroughly so the stable version can be updated safely. Hopefully there won't be any major bugs :)

Thanks!

Intel2700G plugin is already included.

I will run some tests with the video files I have (OGMs, aVIs, and MKVs).

By the way, any ETA on either GMC or subtitle support?

what do you mean subtitle support? i thought this was more for the encoding program you use for your dvd or tv show. if i want subtitles, i usually encode the subtitles with pocketdivxencoder. not sure what betaplayer can do. thanks

That's right. When I was watching "Blown Away" in .xvid format a lot of people were speaking Gaelic and the subtitles were shown even though I didn't specify that option with fairuse. What's this subtitle thing about?

I think it could be good to add subtitles support for OGM / MKV files
I tried to watch some berserk episodes but that was hard because there were no subtitles and I cant understand japanese on the fly

For some reason, the webpage link ALWAYS gives me a "Cannot find server" error. I've always had to hunt on google for an alternate download site.

Does that link not work sometimes? No one else seems to be saying anything, so I'm guessing it's working for them. :(

Divx allows subtitles to exist outside the actual encoded video...very handy for anime fans etc...

Put a 250 Meg MP4. it bounced a couple of times but I can't see any performance difference from the previous version (.95) that I had. I guess that's good since I didn't have any problems. Please let me know if there are any specific test progr. you want me to run or any specific file extensions.

Thanks alot to everyone btw for giving as such apps!!!

Some AVI files are distributed with subtitles in a separate file, usually with an SUB or SRT extension..

wow, really?? how does it do this? for instance, if i am watching an episode of the simpsons without subtitles encoded, the new betaplayer can play subtitles? if that's true, that would be awesome!! i love to have subtitles on everything i watch!

Picard: when I hide the taskbar, and then go to the settings, there is no OK button anymore to acknowledge changes in the settings (only cancel is available).

Also what is the software volume control good for?

Good job, as always!
