Sub titles and FairUse
Hey All-

I have converted several movies with fairuse...and I absolutley love the program. The only problem I have is with subtitles. I am trying to convert the Joy Luck Club and I need english subtitles when the actors are speaking in chinese. However, since the movie is mostly in english I dont need subtitles all the time.

So far all my experimets lead me to subtitles ALL the time or NO subtitles at all. Is there anyway to get subtitles when necessary only?

Thanks

Have you read the fairuse tutorial DStutz linked to? It mentions stuff about subtitles.

i have also read this guide...in fact, i used it to encode my first movie, but it does not mention how to turn subtitles on and off, or only have them for part of the movie like the original post says. i also would like to know if this is possible.
rumor has it that upcoming versions of betaplayer may allow for subtitles to turn on and off.
but overall, fairuse is pretty nice
