I have finally decided its time to upgrade to a media player that can allow me to view movies as well as play MP3's. In all of my research in the forums I have seen Pocket MVP and Pocket DivX as the front runners. I have also seen that it appears Pocket MVP is the new release of Pocket DivX.

Is this true or are they still two different players and not just the latest version of one(DivX -->Pocket MVP)?

If they are different, what are their differences and which one is probably going to be better at playing movies (avi, divx) and mp3's?

Appologize if this has been covered already, I haven't seen a clear cut distinction yet.

In my experiences, I believe that Pocket MVP is best. It plays Divx 5, which the regular Divx player doesn't support or play.

PMVP also plays MP3, Ogg, and XVid...

Thanks,
I downloaded Pocket MVP. It works for what I need however I would have really liked it if there were a little more documentation on the website.
Still trying to figure out all of the settings.

Don't forget the include Help files with PocketMVP. A bit obtuse and technical, I admit, but after many, many tries to scrunch a 4 minute music video (via Virtualdub), the repeated readings of the PocketMVP help files are starting to make sense.

Hmmmm, in a way, that's scary...

Pocket MVP has a nice equalizer and Preamp to boost sound output! Very nice IMO

Hello, I have a new x30...I mean really brand new, never used. Do I have to uninstall windows media to install MVP? If so, how do I do this? I have no idea on how to install programs, like do I install programs on SD cards or the PDA itself. I have a photoviewer like xnpocket viewer, resco, sompyplayer, macromedia flash 7, Flexmail, kasperskysecurity, and on it goes. I have them put away in a folder because I don't know what to do...Can you or anyone help me? I will appreciate it so very, very, much.

Thanks a Bunch,
Rosa
