Are you talking about "Fair Use"? It might help to be more clear, especially in your title.

sorry, trying to use shorthand as i'm posting from the x50v...
edit** key words: fair use beta player betaplayer audio codec seems as though it should be in the file, just not palying back... i'm kinda confused here.

Go back to default settings as a whole. Then, simply set the audio to 128, and the size of the file to 450MB. Then click "auto" and let it run. Don't mess with anything else. Let us know what happens.

Nope. It won't.
I realized tonight where you attempted to change the audio...once you've set the audio on the first page, leave it alone. The button I'm not sure of is the one that says, "TV MODE" on the very first page, and I'm not sure what it does. It may output a portion of the original video in 4x3 format--but I'm not sure. I don't have a problem with the black bars of widescreen...I'm used to them on my TV, and I'm used to them on my Axim. But to each their own.

i guess it could be the specific video. didn't think of that. anyway, i ran it on full auto and still nothing. i don't get any errors from either media player on the pc or betaplayer on the ppc, just no sound.
on a side note, the only reason i thought it'd be good to crop the bars is that it seems like waysted MB's.

I'm going to try to copy a couple of these posts and put them in the betapalyer 0.096 needs testing thread. Maybe picard_beta will have some insight into our problem or at least tell us what to adjust. Thius thread will be back don't worry.

good idea as i'm starting to think it bay be with betaplayer now. anyone familiar with beta enough to know which buffer should be increased? there is the "normal" buffer and the "microdive" buffer and being as though it's on a microdrive i'm not sure which to increase. the error doesn't come up when i click microdrive mode in betaplayer but then the movie stalls at the same place the error would come up. (i think the error/stall comes up right after about 1/4 second of sound...)
btw, it is beta 096 i'm using...

Put this stuff suitably edited in the BPNT 0.096 thread man, the more details the better picard_ beta would want to know.
