The easiest installation is through your computer using the setup files.

For BetaPlayer:
betaplayer.setup.STABLE.0.5.exe

For Plugins:
aacfull.setup.STABLE.0.5.exe

and

mpc.setup.STABLE.0.5.exe

i have been a big user of the 0.096 unstable files, but i loaded this stable one last night, and everything seems great!

Is there a way to shut off the screen during mp3 or movie playback?

I ask about movie playback too.. because sometimes I want to listen to only the audio to save on battery life (e.g. interviews, etc.)

I gotta tell you that this player is the best one I've tried. I tried WMP, and GSP just didn't work for me. I have many large mp3 files that i don't necessarily want to start at the end. Ony betaplayer was reliable in being able to move to anywhere in the file i wanted.
WTG Betaplayer!

You can map a button to 'screen on/off' in settings/hotkeys.

the easiest way, so you don't have to re map any buttons, is to simply hold the off button for 3 seconds while it is playing. this turns the backlight off. :approve:

The only problem with this is that it only dims the backlight and doesn't turn the screen off completely. If you want to maximise battery life remap a button to turn the screen all the way off.

Sorry if I am stating the obvious to you. :)

Cheers

It was just a compensation (worked when there was enough time to wait for the LCD vertical retrace), but the A02 ROM fixed the issue in the driver itself.

Picard,

Has Betaplayer .5 stable addressed this:

"If battery use is a concern, you should keep in mind that Betaplayer will keep the 2700G powered up when it is de-activated in the background (e.g. when you tap (x) in its NavBar or bring another app in front). PocketTV powers-off the 2700G completely as soon as it gets de-activated"

Thanks and great program!

No. So it's advised to exit from BetaPlayer or load an audio file if you stop watching videos (and the device is still kept turned on)

Will it get fixed, or is there a good reason not to fix it? Such as (much) faster resuming of video?

Best Regards,
Christopher H.
