Betaplayer 0.5 sound is TOO loud....
How can I get it to a more reasonable level.
At least with WMP10 the mains volume is seperate to WMP volume. You can tune them both.
Apart from that. GREAT player. And it plays WMA files :-)

Go into the Equalizer settings. Enable the equalizer and turn down the preamp slider.

Wont the eq setting enabled change the sound as well? I like it without the EQ.

I used it to increase the sound of movies. Just move the preamp slider to the left instead of the right boxall, don't use any other sliders.
Thanks for the tip ironchef! :approve:

Doesn't do anything. Could it be x50mix destroying it. The sound does not get louder or softer.

Go to the Options > Settings > Player page and uncheck play music in backrgound. Now back to the equlizer and turn the pre-amp down. When you resume the music you'll hear the difference. You can go back and check play music in backrground wnen you get the desired loudness level.

Just turn off the "Use system volume" in advanced settings.

That's truly weird. Both ironchef and picard_beta's tips had a profound effect on my volume levels and I use X50mix just like you.

Just tried again and yes the "use System Volume" option solved it!
