PocketDVD by PocketDVD

Finally a DVD app that will do the job. I've tried them all and this one seems to have got it right. Up front, I am a Beta tester for this programer so you may see me as being alittle bias...I try not to be.
But you can check it out for yourself. It has a nice 5 day free trial before you have to buy. Plus when you do decide to buy its only $11.95...A very good price compared to the rest out there.
Check it out here http://www.pocketdvd.ca/

I'm not biased. I've been using PocketDVD's predecessor for quite a while and can speak quite positively to its simplicity and functionality. Admittedly, I didn't try any similar software before purchasing this one, but I trialed this and it worked well. With PocketDVD being one-third the price, why would I?

How right you are , once people tries this new version the other apps that does this type of work will just fade away. Not for just the simplicity of the software but the speed of its process also. For example a 2 Ghz PC can convert a full length movie in less than an hour with great looking results.

I am trail testing pocketdvd and am having a bit of difficulty with the application. I am using a Dell XPS, P3, 800MHZ computer. Windows 98 SE and DivX is installed. When I insert a DVD, the software begins to search for the DVD in my D drive. It does recognize the title of the disk in my drive but stops there. When I click on "Get DVD Information" I cannot view any of the tracks, in other words, it is blank and remains locked up, no other button operates. When I close the application a note window pops up stating "File not found."

Any explanations and other possible conflicts or system requirements I am not aware about? I do have a laptop with XP and it appears to function correctly. I would like to use my Windows 98 desktop if it is possible.

Thanks

By the way, the contact email address at the user website appears to be bad, my mail message returned to me.

Isn't PocketDVD just a front-end for Windows Media Encoder 9?
