link to watching vid in x50
hi guys, can someone post a link for me on how to convert *.avi files to *.mpeg. i tried converting a couple videos i have in my pc and when i transferred them to my x50 mid, it says it cant play it.

Windows movie maker 2 is free and does this ok.

Thanx...I was able to convert it but I was wondering why it took so long to finish, almost 2 hrs to make the video. I tried it using PocketDivxEncoder and was able to cut the video from 700MB down to 170MB but was at *avi. But when I used windows movie maker 2 it went up to 377MB.

You need to install a .avi(divx) player such as BetaPlayer because Windows Media Player for PPC can not play .avi (divx). You can find BetaPlayer here http://betaplayer.corecodec.org/ Also you can convert your large .avi videos to a PPC friendly size by using VirtualDub. For a step by step guide on how this is done click on the Divx Encoding button in the Navigation bar on my website. Its fast and its free.
