Volume on dvix convert (Fairuse)

I just converted (for the 1st time) a DVD for my x50v using FairUse. I followed the Guide from dvd-guides.com. Video looks great. But the sound is too loud and I can't get a lower volume. The jump in loudness from level 0 to the next level is too much (not a gradual increase). Did I miss a setting during the encoding in Fairuse? Or is there a setting in BetaPlayer? My other encoded videos (.wmv from WM Encoder) don't play that loud.

Thanks.

Did you try turning down the system volume?

You can switch off 'Use system volume' in BetaPlayer's advanced setting. This will separate the player volume from the system volume and in theory player volume resolution will be very good (but it will only max out to the currently set system volume)
