WMV Encoding
I have encoded a video for the Axim at 320x240 using Windows Media Encoder. The problem is that it plays very choppily - Not what I would expect from a 400MHz processor.

I used the pocket PC profile in the encoder - but my question is this:

Does anyone have any idea of the best settings for a WMV encoded video? WHat sort of perfomance does it usually give?

On another matter - I want to download MPEG videos to try out on Pocket TV but Pocket Movies.net seems to have stopped letting people download due to bandwidth issues. Are there any other good sites with Pocket PC optimised MPEGS (Or even WMVs for that matter)?

Thanks.

I used to encode my movies in WMV until I tried out the Video Encoding Guide on this site. Some of the files in WMV would be choppy, especially the action movies. The guide found on this site gives you better video quality, as well as smaller file sizes than the pocket pc setting with Windows Media Encoder. I suggest giving it a try. It is encoding with Divx. Just do a search, and you should find it.
