Will the Axim ever be a capable video player?

With the possible optimizations in OS, video player software, and video codec is there a possibility that Axim will become a decent video (movie) player. Will the Axim ever play 320x240 video with high quality sound at a good frame rate?

Big Smile Yes... yes it will be... in fact it allready is...

I think the Ax functions well as a video-player! I run my Simpsons episodes in fullscreen-mode (320*240) at 20-30 fps with no dropped frames. For the audio I usually choose a samplingrate of 22050 Hz, 16-bit precission and 32-bit mono mp3-compression.
I use the DivX 5.0.3 codec and VirtualDub to convert files if necessary. I play the files using the latest version of Pocket MVP.

Thanks, I didn't know that the Axim was capable of 320x240 video with decent sound at decent frame rate. Do you believe that if the video player is optimized it will eventually play videos 5-10 frames better than it does now?

Big Smile Hope so!

Dunno!? Perhaps...
So far I have seen practically no software optimized for XScale devices.
I just know the XScale is capable of SO much more than PPC 2002 allows!
