Question Changing Video Formats

I read somewhere that betaplayer does not support .wmv files. Are there any programs that will let me change them into another extension, i.e. .avi, or .mpeg - so that they will work in betaplayer? Thanks!

You can change extensions all you want, it will not play. You have to actually convert the video! There is a program call Avi to VCD/SVCD from Boilsoft that can do so.

Thanks! Thats what I meant. I realize simply renaming the file won't do.
