((((( Are Compact Flash cards any good for movies?)))))

I have read only one post were a a guy said he sees a "lag" at times but does not see this on SD cards. I want to buy a 2GB CF card because it's cheaper than the 2GB SD cards. I can get a type II for $138.00 and a SD for $178.00.

I would like to use the CF slot for movies and mp3's. Any of you guys/gals:

1- Use CF for movies and Mp3's?
2- How do the movies play?
3- What kind of CF is it and can you post a link where you purchased it?
4- If there is a lag would it help to go to betaplayer's setting and make adjustment on the buffer so take away the lag?

I know this it's alot of questions but I'm going to buy a cf card thursday and I'm a bit nervous!

Thanks for your input.

You wouldn't notice any difference between the two when watching movies. In fact, if you went and got a high speed CF card with the high speed ratings, it would be faster than your axim could read/write from it.

Most of my videos reside on a 1G Lexar CF and I have not had any problems using BetaPlayer (default settings). No lag whatsoever.

I have a Kingston "Elite Pro" 2GB CF card. It works great as storage for movies played with BetaPlayer.

I have a 4GB Microdrive (CF type II) and it works just fine for MP3s and movies and everything else. I install programs in the Built in memory and everything else in the Microdrive (eBooks, pdfs, pictures, etc.)

I have both 1GB SD and 4GB CF. I'm using Betaplayer and have had no issues.
