Question for Fairuse users
I'm new to the X30 and I want to download movies . I have read alot on here and it seems Fairuse seems to be the favorite. Ok, so, do I also need to download betaplayer? I seem to be getting confused on how to actually get the movie to the PPC. And will a 256mb card be big enough for 1 movie?

Ok, This is how i do it
1) Put DVD in pc 2) Use Fairuse to convert DVD to video file(s) 3) Use Card Reader to copy Video files to SD card 4) Use Betaplayer on Axim to view video file on SD card hope that helps

I don't use Betaplayer. I prefer PocketMVP as it allows you to buffer up to 12MB of the movie.
jmckeown, yes, 256MB card is plenty. When you are encoding the movie it will give you an option of how large you want the file to be. Select 230MB.

As far as MVP I have the sound is behind (or ahead, I cant remember) problem. I need to reread the thread I linked above again to make sure its the player. I know it was talked about, for some reason I thought it was a problem with the player. I also tried the buffer setting and I didnt notice a difference what is it going to affect or improve? edited cause no can typie

those are all good links. Something somewhere is preventing your access to it.
I've ripped a few movies with FairUse and it's pretty easy to do, once you figure out how to get the encoder to cooperate.

large files seem to start and stop over and over again. Can get frustrating. When I had misplaced my reader I had better luck transferring files via wifi thru file explorer.
