Question WinMediaPlayer 10 & iTunes w/ x50v

I'm not an idiot, but I'm really having trouble with this. For some reason, ever since I installed WMP 10 on my laptop, I can't sync my 40G ipod with itunes. I checked the defaults and nothing looks wonky ... I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything twice. What gives? Any info -- no matter how lame this sounds -- would be greatly appreciated!

I'm going to clone this to the Water Fountain forum. Somebody must have an iPod around here.

If you reinstalled itunes then plug your ipod in, it should say that you wnat to make it the default program. If not, what other media programs do you have?(Real,Roxio, etc.)
What system are you running your ipod to?(98,2000,ME or XP)
Go download itunes again and give that a shot first....installing WMP shouldn't preclude you from seeing an ipod...it's a firewire drive.

Hmm Update

Well it's a good thing that I checked through all of the Apple support sites as well. Looks like I'm one of about a thousand people having trouble with their iPods / iTunes.

So far no update and no fix, and I have also tried to synch my iPod with my desktop PC. This is no longer an Axim / WMP10 issue but rather an Apple one so I will keep it off here.

Sorry ... and I hope no one else is going through this like me!

Weird, I've had WMP10 for a while and my iPod syncs just fine even though it's installed.

Mine works fine too. I had wm10 installed before I installed my ipod. Don't know if that makes a difference. Strange though. I also run windows xp pro not the home edition. Don't know if thats a factor or not.
