I recently converted a cd with audio tracks on it to *.wma files with no problem and they play on the axim just fine. They do take up a large amount of space on my SD card.

Can anyone tell me, very specifically, how to reduce the size of the files. I only have a 128 SD card and the wma files are taking up so much space.

In Windows Media Player on your PC, go to Tools>Options>Copy Music, and down at the bottom is a slider to select quality vs quantity. If you have the Axim docked, hit the Devices tab, and you can select destination-specific quality settings. While you're there, highlight the CD player and make sure copy mode is digital.

I've copied a bunch of music using the lowest quality setting, and it's usually OK, but a bit rough sometimes ... sounding like a tinny, ringing distortion. Get some good earphones if you don't have already. I use the Sony Studio style, and they're excellent for $20.

If I were you I would go online or to ebay and invest in a CF card thats at least 256MB those are really cheap now, hell even like 6 months ago I got one for like 30 bucks, then you can copy media there and have more space for programs on the SD card.
