Postage size video playback in WMP10! why?
Hello all,
I just got my X50v a week ago. It has Windows Media Player version 10 built in. I tried doing a search in the forums for this, but I couldn't find a solution. When I play a video back from the windowsmedia.com site on my axim, (i.e. the 56k streams), the video shows as postage size with a HUGE black border all around. In addition, I tried encoding my TV card feed using Windows Media Encoder 9 (as per the guide that is posted/linked to here) and I get the same black border (in both landscape and normal mode) in WMP10. I used the setting as posted in that guide. Any suggestions? Are others having the same problem?

maybe that is the size of the feed
try encoding a video after encoding a full movie and viewing it on my axim in full screen, it truly uses the entire screen

That's normal behavior for WMP10. If the video you're watching is 320 x 240 then it will display that size in WMP10. If you wnat to fill the black area, your video needs to be 470 x 435 or larger. Or, if you want to fill the screen with the video, just hit the full screen button (far left button). -AJ
