TiVo to PPC
I purchased Pocket DVD Wizard and it doesn't recognize the output file from my transferred TiVo recordings. The recordings seem to be mpeg files. Is there something special about these files?

Yes, they are .tivo files with password protection. People have found some workarounds but I have not seen anything very easy yet. To bad MS said they would have something out for PPC people but have not followed though as of yet. Here is another link if you like ~ http://www.zatznotfunny.com/ttg.htm

Thanks for the links, I'll check em out and report back if I have some success. I'd love to take some of my recorded shows on the road with me.

I bought an ATI tuner for my PC. Came w/guide that works like our Tivo. Love it. After rebate $49, no mthly charge for guide. I had to use the built in customization to get full screen on x50v, but it wasn't hard & I'm not really techy.

Takes about 5 min to move 2 hr show from computer to 2 gig CF using a reader.

Same here, I trashed my Tivo long ago and made my own with a ATI All-in-Wonder and a monster hard drive. Screw paying for Tivo and their adds they are starting to push on people when they try to skip commercials.
