Mad No Audio in Live media Stream

I have been trying to Use Microsoft Netshow Encoder on a Windows 98 Machine to encode a live stream from my ATI All In Wonder Card for viewing on the Dell Axim. I have been able to encode the stream and recieve the Video on the Axim. I however do not get any Audio from the Axim. I know the stream is encoded with Audion because I can play it on a laptop fine. I also know that the Axim does not have a hardware problem preventing audio from working because I have used other audio functions on the unit. In fact I have played MP3 files from Media player itself.

The Question is Do I have to encode the Audio in particular formats for them to work with the Axim or do I need some type of patch or upgrade to the software? (such as a different codec)

try the new media encoder

Hi there,

I have had success in using the windows media encoder 9 for making movies for the pocket pc with sound. It's best to start with an uncompressed AVI file before conversion.

My question is: are you trying to stream to the Axim or are you saving the video and downloading it onto the Axim?

I've tried to stream out to a wireless connected Axim and can only get audio but no video.

Have fun!

Andy

Found my own problem

Even though I had installed the newer Media Encoder ther was still an older one on the system and that was causing a problem. I had to remove both of them and reinstall the new one. Now it works fine. I have been successfull at sending a live 64K stream audio and video through the wireless link to the Axim.
