BetaPlayer error - need help...

Hi,

I got an error from BetaPlayer (latest 0.50b) playing .avi using (divx as video, Lame AC3 as audio).
The error is:
Video files (AVI,DIVX): Video and audio data are not interleaved. This type of AVI file is not properly supported!

The video itself plays, but there is no sound to it.

Any idea? Do I have to re-encode it using a different audio codec? Which one will work for sure?

LibMad MPEG Audio works as do many other codecs. Check over at the corecodec site. The same codecs that worked with 0.5 STABLE work with 0.5b UNSTABLE.

What ripper are you using?

Using Tmpgenc to convert rmvb->avi (divx as video, Lame ACM MP3 codec as audio) so I can play it on both my PPC and Philips 642 DVD player (which supports divx)

But right now, PPC & DVD player don't play the sound. Works fine on computer/laptop.

Will try different audio mpeg.

I only rip stuff I'm not into conversions... Try checking out bigds63's encoding guides for some conversion tips.
