Music won't play with WMP-10

It's been a while since I played the MP3 and WMA files on my X30H, but today they won't play. I just get low level static and a whine. (i did check the volume)

I transferred a test file to my PC and it played fine with my laptop's WMP-9.

What do you suggest? Thanks

A soft reset then updating the Library if your using WMP10. You also might want to check your storage card for errors.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just tries your recommended steps and they still don't play. I moved a file to "My Documents" and it won't play either.

WMP-10 plays video clips with audio fine.

Is there a way to selectively re-install WMP-10 only without a hard reset?

Thanks,
Mike

Not that I'm aware of. Microsoft never made it available for download. Speaking of Microsoft you know some of the music files they were giving away awhile back are timelocked but you would have seen a message saying license expired so that's not it...
