Question Woa - Live TV - Live Radio !!

I keep seeing advertisments for live Baseball audio and video feeds for phones through services such as Mobi.
It looks at first blush like this is only tailored to Phones primarily Cingular and Sprint providers.

Has anyone found a service or a way to get the live audio or video streamed over Wi-Fi for Ax? It wouldn't have to be for just Baseball but any sporting event Nascar etc.

Any suggestion would be appreciated...

well - what i use is orb.com - you have to have an "always on" broadband connection at home as well as a tv tuner card

basically - what you are doing is streaming from your home pc - i can check out all of the pictures on my home pc, stream all of my mp3's, stream any videos i have on the computer, view from my webcam, and stream live television from my tv tuner card

the best part about all of it is that the service is FREE!

it really is awesome - and it works on any wireless device (if you have a fast enough connection on your smartphone - you can watch on there too - i personally dont but i can still access all of my pictures without issue)

check it out - www.orb.com

GSPlayer

GSPlayer is definately worth looking at, and it's free.

http://www.freewareppc.com/multimedia/gsplayer.shtml

MPEG audio to include MP3's, MP2's, Shoutcast Streams, OGG, and pretty much everything else I've thrown at it thus far.

I stream shoutcast playlists from www.shoutcast.com through WiFi. You can either save the playlists or you can go through the website and play them from there (the drawback of doing it that way is that their site is not set up for mobile devices).

As far as TV, you should look through some of the other forums, I haven't had time to get that deep into yet but plan to soon, there are also several ways to copy DVD or other format video to PPC and watch it on the go.

Kricket,
The Orb suggestion is great!!
You forgot to mention you can select to record tv remotely as well.
i found the performance well around the house and can only figure it will be even better when used on two independent connections to the net.

It was very easy to configure and gives me exactly the result i was looking for. I can play any media on my PC and view live and recorded tv shows. No transcoding / converting or anything simply play. You can select tv channels as favorites and the schedules show you the shows currently playing.

Thanks Again - Highley Recomend Orb to others.
It may not be everything to everyone, but it rocks!!

There's always the option of internet TV. Television that is broadcasted over the internet, just like the way radio stations do it. www.beelinetv.com has a list of internet television stations...

Yeah, ORB is great! I just bought a new tv card yesterday because my old one (winfast deluxe) wasn't supported. I picked up a Wintv pvr-250. Unfortunately, I think something is messed up with my codecs as it was working for a while last night but then stopped working. Will have to do some more testing/fixing tonight.
