Anyone using Fairuse on Windows Media Center 2005 PC?

I can't get Fairuse to create a project on my new Windows Media Center 2005 PC. Get message "Access Denied" when it tries to read the DVD. Have no problems using Fairuse on my Windows XP Pro laptop.

I've got it working on a WMC2004 Laptop. Does the right DVD player come up when your asked to choose the DVD player? What I do is start the movie with the Media Center software then turn the Media Center program off. Then start fairuse and a new project.

If this doesn't work try the fairuse forums.

Don't Panic has a good point. I have had a similar issue with some DVD's when trying to use SmartRipper. I have to first play part of the movie to unlock it, then I can begin the ripping/encoding process.

Playing the DVD first didn't help. I've posed the question in the fairuse forum. A search doesn't turn up anything on this topic.

Thank you for your help. I discovered my error . I was putting the DVD drive in as the destination for my project files, which obviously can't work.
