[QUOTE=OddbOd]Hi Josh, I hope you don't mind but I went ahead and converted your beautiful skin to QVGA for those of us without an X50v.

Oddbod - Would you know why I get banding on my background.
I have x50 midrange not x50v.
And it seems there are bands running accross background.
The buttons do not have bands.
Should I change the resolution of images?

Thanks for any info.

I suspect the problem is in the .skn file itself, would it be possible for you to send me a copy of the default .skn files (\Windows\Portrait96.skn and \Windows\Potrait192.skn) from your X50 as they may be subtly different to the X30s. You could try using the original background.png & disabled.png files that Josh posted but I don't think they will work right.

Hi, sorry for the innane nature of my post, but I'm pretty new at this, and I was hoping someone could tell me how to get the fonts to be bigger as shown in the original post seen above? I recently downloaded SE_VGA and have been running everything in true VGA mode, but the fonts are killing my eyes. And with the new awesome IPod skin, the fonts are still small. What can I do? Thanks.

The font definitions are very clearly marked in the Plastic.skn file, just open it up with Notepad (or any text editor) and go down to the section marked [Text]. The number after the font name is the size in points followed by the type style (n=normal, b=bold) Microsfot recommends not to use sizes <10 or >18.

Thanks so much. What about altering fonts in general (like the today screen) in true vga mode? I've checked the other threads, and it seems like most people still have trouble with it, but I was wondering if anyone has found a solution to this yet, or is getting reading glasses the only option. Thanks.

Great Skin but...

I was just curious to know if you could make the iPod skin fit the entire screen (without the bars on top/bottom) for that "polished" look. Maybe a small icon "X" to close out to get back to the today screen. Just wondering. Verrry nice skin though!

Here's the skin:

You can download it freeHERE

How do I load up the skin? I copied the plastic folder into the directory, but no go.

EDIT: Ok, I figured it out. My x30 would only detect the Plastic96 one, and only in Portrait mode.

You can download Ppod. There is a link in MyPDA. It is only a trial and you cannot buy it. Check it out anyway...

Neither cincij nor myself have been able to figure out how to do that, it appears that there is no fullscreen skin mode in WMP, if there is then it's not documented on MSDN as far as I can tell.
