Pocket DivX - where - how ??

Thinking I'd try and see what a movie clip looks like on the Axim I want to Pocketmatrix where it said I needed Pocket DivX which I could download from "here".

When I went to "here" and there was nothing to click on called Pocket DivX 0.8e - unless I'm blind which come to think of it ....

Aaanyway I thought it might be Pocket MVP by another name - although why that should be mystifies me but .....

Sooo I get this thing called vp3.zip and unzip it and install it and then get a clip called daredevil-portrait.ogm and stick it - well my documents seemed to be a good idea - and click on it and it doesn't work.

Err - I don't seem to have gotten my head round this - any help gratefully recieved.

Ta

Assuming the download I wanted was vp3.zip I installed it but in the Pocket MVP folder all there is is a thing called vp3_ppc.dll.

Shouldn't there be more than that?

Now that is AWESOME

Wow - now I got that Pocket MPV to work I am bound to say that it is truly amazing how well the Axim plays movies. Its really astonishing.

So if I understand this right I can take out a DVD movie b4 I go on my hols and scrunch it down so I can play it on my Axim and watch it while I'm camping in Cornwall.

Only thing is how big an SD card do I have to buy to put a whole movie on it? If its half a gig its a well expensive way to watch movies on me hols :)

Get a CF mem card. The Axim's CF slot is faster than the SD slot because of the data path. (4bit vs 1bit)

Does a CF card for the Axim have to be type 2. How big does it have to be to fit a squished/scrunched/whatever the word is - movie on it?

I have a CF 48MB (of course type I; the only things I've seen type II are microdrives, modems, WiFi cards) with almost an hour and a half movie on it. I really scrunched it so I got so-so quality video at full screen (320x240) and it took all but a few bytes of the card.

Axim has type 2 slot? So type 1's go into type 2 slots? So if I got a 512 CF card I could fit - what - 3 reasonable quality movies on it?

Thats amazing!
