Problems playing large video files on X50v

Hey. I am using betaplayer trying to play some rather large divx files...400megs or so. I dont have a problem playing smaller ones..180 megs or so. But for larger files, betaplayer tells me that the video file is an "unknown format" and wont play it. I tried various divx encoded files of small sizes and betaplayer was able to play them. I can only assume that it cant play these larger files.

Does anyone else have problems?

I play between 400-800 meg files without a problem. Where do you have betaplayer installed, mine is in BIS and I store the videos on a CF card(a generic one).

What version of betaplayer are you using? I think the latest is unstable .05. I would verify that you have the most current version. If not, update. Hope this helps. :hide:

It also depends on how the divx/xvid file was encoded. Betaplayer does not support all the complex encoding options allowed by xvid since it has the codec built into it. One of the features I have run into problems with is quarter pixel sampling on xvid. Betaplayer doesn't want to play that.
