What program can i use to view freeTV like BeelineTV directly on my X50V. I am using realplayer to view on my Desktop, is there a port of realplayer for PPC? Or is there an alternative?
crxgsr: wow..great website...beelinetv.com...kudo to u for giving us this website!!! now the question is...are there more website that broadcast live tv for free just like beelinetv.com...if anyone know anymore websites or have link to ur own live broadcast tv...please provide links! i would love to watch regular live tv (i.e. fox, nbc, mtv, hbo, abc etc etc.) using something similar to beelinetv.com.
So everyone knows there is a 3-4 second delay because the video has to be encoded while its streaming. It took about 35% of my processor on my AMD XP 2500+ w/ 1GB RAM system.
Isn't it possible to just route the data without reencoding it? You'll probably need an 802.11g card to handle the bandwidth, but it should work. The X50v should be able to handle 480p easily.
For a laptop, there should not be any issues streaming 1080i or 720p over 802.11g. Native HDTV is 20Mbps at most, which should be no problem for 802.11g.

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but another site that will allow you to watch live TV (free) on your Axim (similar to Beeline) is PPCVIDZ at www.ppcvidz.com. I have used it a few times and it works quite well. :)
