What I do wrong? 73k down to only 53k

I tried a test bit of a film using Fibrizo guide. I had converted a bit of a DVD and got an AVI of 73000 kb and then followed the guide and got a result of 53000k. Plainly not much of a squish so obviously I did something wrong. What sort of squish ration should I be aiming at?

Say I took a 90 min DVD and converted it to AVI about how many Kb would that be? What should that be reduced down to to play on the Axim and how big a CF card would I need to store it on?

sorry lol not in kb it would have been in mb! and it should be from 100 to 250 mbs give or take. so thats really like 100,000kb to 250,000 not 50 or what you said :P.

Anyway the encoding was proably fine it was the dvd ripping you proably screwed up on.

I my self havent done dvd ripping yet but ironically today im going to start to try it.

So my advice look for some good dvd ripping resources if I find any ill post it for ya

Err- I should have said 73000 k - the short clip I ripped is shown as 72,844 KB and the squished version is shown as 52,826 KB.
