Media Player issues

I want to be able to listen to the music I have stored on my AX through my PC at work. I know I can just unplug the speakers from the PC and plug them into my AX, but that is a pain. The only program I have available on my work PC is Windows Media Player. Our IS dept gets cranky if we download others. So I sync my AX to the PC and fire up Media player. I cannot “find” my AX in the drive list. I can “explore” in windows and find it, just not in Media Player. Does anyone know of a way to get Media Player to “find” my AX?

I think it's strictly a one way relationship From WMP desktop to PDA. I tried various shortcut and drag and drop methods exploring the AX but nothing worked.

Just for the record I was using an X50v connected to a Windows XP Pro laptop running WMP9.

why dont you just unplug the speaker cable from the computer and plug it into the headphone jack of the axim its the same type of connector headphones use and then you can jam off the computer speakers I do it at work all the time

ON exploring to my x50 in windows xp sp2, I found that there was no right-click to play option, which probably is a symptom similar to your not being able to find it in WMP10.

You will be able to copy all the files across to the PC if you have a temporary files drive or something.... then play them as normal....

If you are using WMP10, you may be able to do something involving the "synch" part of WMP, but i wouldnt know, as i do not use this function at all. It shows the contents of my CF card in the axim when i bring up the Synch tab....

Hope this is of help
