Missing Album Art w/Yahoo Music

I have a Dell X50V and am using Yahoo Music Unlimited. When I sync from Yahoo Music to the CF installed in the Dell (with the Dell in the cradle), I am unable to see any album art. Is this a bug with the Yahoo Beta software?

I don't know if they've enabled that yet in the beta version. A better (and faster) way to sync is after the downloads have finished, close YME and open Windows Media Player 10. You can have WMP10 search the internet and update files with the album art. Then when you sync using WMP10 it will sync the art too.

I am having the same problem with YMU... no album art. I "import" my Yahoo music into WMP10. Still no album art.

As you said, could be a "beta" problem. I will be happy to wait. I am really diggin the music... I bet I have download 12GB of music. With my 6gb micro drive, I am livin the life!!!!

Yep, I now think that it is a Beta problem.

I also don't see the album art in WMP10.

I sent Yahoo an error report.

Thanks for the replies.

There are settings in WMP10 that you need to enable in order for it to download album art. Somewhere in the settings is a check box that allows WMP10 to search the internet and gather information on music files in the library. Go to Tools-->Options and search there for this setting.

Once it's enabled WMP10 will search for the Album Art, and then when you sync it will include it in the sync. If you go to the directory where your music is you can look in each folder to see if the artwork is there.

Also, there is freeware out there that will search your collection and let you know which artwork is missing and then it will help you find it.

I've found a simple solution that seems to work regardless of where you got the music from. All you need to do is convert the Album Art image that you want to appear in WMP Mobile to JPEG if it isn't already, be aware that there is a size limit which I haven't figured out but anything <=640x640 works fine. Rename it to Folder.jpg and drop it into the appropriate album folder on your Axim/Memory Card. When any song from that folder is played the image will be displayed.
