may I assume that you have converted the QuickTime file into an uncompressed avi file, thus the huge increase in size.

To get it onto your Ax, you need to re-encoded / compress it again. I personally recommend DivX, an excellent guide can be found here:

Trying RAD Video Tools as we speak. Seems to work pretty well. Gonna have to extract the audio by itself though. I love virtualdub. I just choose a wave file as the audio channel and it's flawless...

I tried mov2avi, and had no luck. Ended up forking out the dough for Quicktime Pro. Converted to AVI, then ran through VirtualDub

worked. Watched "The Second Renaissance" on the train last night :)

How the he** did you convert it to .avi?
I've been scratching my head. I have QT pro, but I can't seem to get it to work!

Under Export. AVI is one of the options.

Then something must be seriously wrong with my installation. All I can choose is "movie" and "movie, self-contained".
