Can anyone tell me how I go about playing a movie on my x50v? What are the steps? Do I need a special application?

This is how i do it.
1) use Fairuse LE to convert my DVD into a Divx format file.
2) Use USB2 card reader to copy the file to my CF card
3) use Betaplayer to play video on my axim
4) enjoy movie

Thanks. One more quick question (well, 2). Should I sue betaplayer stable .5? And, since I'm a Mac user, should I download the cab file? If need be, I do have access to a PC.

you should be able to copy the cab to your axim and install it there. Both versions work so I would probably go for whichever is dated the latest
