freeware avi spliter?

does anyone know of a freeware avi splitter?

i've looked but cannot find one.

Just download virtualdub
http://www.virtualdub.org
This is one of the best avi editors out there. It is kind of confusing for people who don't know how to use the program though. If you need help splitting a file, I'll be happy to help you. Just ask...

yeah i need to split the avi because the file came out to about 230-240mb but the problem is i dont have a 256mb card. i tried converting it to about 110mb and the quality is just horrible.

i have a bunch of 128mb cards and dont mind a movie on 2 if the quality is acceptable.

yeah. actually this movie doesnt work in vdub. i forgot what it says give me a sec and ill try it and tell you what it says.

hey i cant get vdub to work. ive never actually used vdub directly to convert a movie, ive used a program(that used vdub) to convert.

but is there a program?freeware?

vdub is freeware.
What error are you getting? Is it the improper audio header error? If you are getting this error download THIS

no my computer is messing up not vdub. i should of said i cant get my computer to work with vdub.

im trying some things with UMC to see if i can get the quality acceptable with different settings. ill post when its done.
