An easy NEWBIE question on playin a MOVIE
Hello All
After Betaplayer is installed, how do I play a movie? I have the movie on my computer converted to the proper format. Do I drag and drop the movie into a specific folder on my x50v. Then just click on the movie. Thanks from a SUPER NEWBIE Patrick

If you keep it on your computer and stream it over your network wirelessly to your X50v, it will probably stop occasionally to buffer.
You mentioned adding it to a specific folder on your X50v, so I assume you have a CF or SD card, right? If that's the case, one way to do it is with ActiveSync running on both your computer and your X50v. Right-click on the ActiveSync icon in your computer's System Tray/Notification Area (beside the clock), and choose "Explore". Navigate to the folder where you want to store the movie on your X50v, and drag it from your computer to this folder. Another way is with a card reader plugged into your computer. Insert your CF or SD card into the card reader and drag the movie from your computer onto the card. Then plug the card into your X50v.

I recommend the second method that fmo mentioned, as it is tons faster than transferring through ActiveSync. Or, if you don't have a card reader, can live with USB 1.1 speeds but still would like faster transfer than ActiveSync, you can purchase Card Export II for Pocket PC (see the stickied threads in this forum). This program allows you to emulate your storage card that's on the Pocket PC as a mobile hard drive. You simply have to plug PPC into your cradle while in "Card Export" mode and your storage card will show up on your computer as a mobile drive.

Yes, if you have a card reader, it is the best method. The reason it's the best method is not only is the transfer faster, but you are guaranteed the transfer is made. I'm sure some people on here can comment on trying to transfer a large 700 MB with ActiveSync only to have it fail halfway through requiring the whole process be started all over again. I simply suggested ActiveSync because it's free (comes with your Axim and no additional third-party programs are required).
Like yuethomas mentioned, Softick's Card Export II is a better alternative to ActiveSync if you don't have a card reader. However, you will have to pay for it though once the trial runs out.

Or as fmo mentioned above. You can just keep it on your harddrive and stream it over. Or use www.orb.com , they are extreamly good at that stuff.
