Does anyone know what the optimum settings are for fairuse when burning a movie? I have been using about 250mb and setting resolution at 640x472. This gives me a viewable picture with some distortion. What I am wondering is if resolution or the size were changed how much would it affect the outcome. Thank you. Garin3

If you change the resolution it will change the size of the file and vice versa. But these also depend on the length of the flick. I typically use a file size of 400 =/-50mb for a 2 hour movie. This is pretty good for most movies. In my past readings here, most people are around that range.
Take a look at this thread. Some comments there too. http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...highlight=fair | ||||||||

I shoot for 100MB per 30 min of video. I also changed the sound to 96 and can't really tell a difference. This will give you some more room for video quality. As for the resolution, I use the what ever fairuse recomends at the end. To get into the 640 range you will need a much bigger file size. Give one a shot at with these settings, I don't think you will be disapointed. Good Luck~
