fair use

This may seem like a stupid question, but do you need a dvd rom to copy a dvd with fair use? The way they make it sound you could just use a cd rom or cd burner. Thanks for any help.

I dont know about fair use because i have pocket dvd studio but i don not have a dvd writer drive just a regualr dvd drive i am not sure it will work on a regular cdrom drive

You do need a DVD reader to read the DVD data into the computer.
