Use Fair Use to convert them to XViD (or DiVX) AVIs, which you can then play with Betaplayer. I find a 1 Mbps bitrate works well enough. For a 22-minutes episode of a TV show, that usually comes to a tad under 200 MB.

Lots of people use Fairuse. The free version has a output limit of 700MB max (I think), and this is quite good for most people. For more info, do a search on it here; there are LOTS of threads. :)

Moved to Multimedia.

It's not for VOB files though. Although how would you get that type of file anyway???

If you have the original DVD or an ISO image fairuse is the way to go.

Fair Used is simple and efficient. Combined with BetaPlayer it is awesome!

Playing Movies

I currently have .VOB files from DVDs and I was wondering what to convert it to.

Dimensions that I should put it in so I can get full screen.

What size file approx. should it be for about 1hr a half movie.(I want it to be a small file, but I do not want to compromise the quality of the movie for size.)

What file type should I use. (I don't want to use WMV)

I agree. With the new DiVX Codec 6.0, this is even better. I use the one pass method and they come out great.
