FairUse Lite - Cannot select ranges?
I downloaded the latest version of FairUse Lite 1.2 (freeware). I was trying to rip the Godfather I DVD and I wanted to skip the credit, so as per the FairUse Guide, I tried to skip the credit section. When I click on the 'Next' button, FairUse came back with an error message of 'Range selection can be done only in FairUse Full Edition'. So I went to their website and voila what did I find...

Quote:
What is the difference between the Light Edition and the Full Edition of FairUse Wizard ?
The only difference is that the Light Edition is limited to 700 MB encodings and does not allow for range selection
Well, that sucks!!!

Yep, that is new. It used to be just the 700MB limit. Now it is the limit and the "range" deal. When I used the lite version I didn't really care. But to tell you the truth, I liked the program so much I donated. Now I have the full version as a bonus!

The 1.0 lite version didn't have that restriction.

It's probably worth the $13.60 or whatever to get the full version...unless you want to try some of the other software out there.

Sadly, the size issue keeps a person with a PPC from truly being able to see if they like the results of the program...but then again, for PPC owners, you'd never need to upgrade to the full version for our needs. It's a Catch-22, I'd guess.

Yeah, I only use FairUse for my Axim so the 700MB doesn't bother me.
