Compact Flash Lan card?

Hey all, I'm new to the forum, but I used the site extensively to help me pick out the right Axim for me.

I recently purchased a Dell Axim x50 mid, and I'm waiting for it to come in the mail.

Let me start off with my question: is there a compact flash expansion card that would allow me to attach an ethernet cable to my Axim?

While I was shopping around for a new Pocket PC, I tried to think of ways I could best utilize my new "mini-pc" to help me with my tech support company.

I came across the Card Export program for the Pocket-PC, and the realization came to me that if only there was a way to connect to the internet with LAN, I could have a machine that would let me download programs onto a SD card, then use Card Export to transfer programs to another computer.

Ideally, this would be for cases when the computer I'm working on can't connect to its own internet, and I don't have a laptop handy.

Of course it'd have to be a high-speed internet connection that I'd use it on.

Any ideas? Thanks for helping me out, and thanks for having such a kick-ass Axim site!

First off , welcome to aximsite. Not sure if I understand your question but does'nt your x50 mid that your getting have built in 802.11b wifi?
If so,you could just get a wifi Router and have high speed on your PPC without having to be attached to a LAN card.

Actually, I'm looking for this card for times when I'm away from home and a customer isn't wired for wireless.

I've got one of these: http://www.trendnet.com/products/TE-CF100.htm

Works great when you must have a wired connection.

WOW! Thanks, thats exactly what I'm looking for.

Question, though: if I plugged a LAN cable into it, would my device pick up the internet connection and I could start surfing right away? Or would there be extra configuring I'd have to do?
