You should not have any troubles with buffering. I am a Video Editor and sometimes we do remote sessions and this is what i set up:
I have a seperate Computer (old dual PIII 866 which previously retired). I have it hooked up to my editing system and with Windows Media Encoder I encode multiple streams so that people with faster connections get better video and audio streams. It is almost instantly. One of my clients sits in Sydney Australia and he see what I'm editing about 4-5 seconds later without any buffering.
I have no prewired cable TV at my Office. So, in the off time (where I'm not editing) I stream Cable TV through my network (I usually watch MSNBC). On my local Area Network (1000/100/10Mb and 54Mb Wireless) the delay seems to be around 1 second or less without any buffering on my PPC at 320x240 and even on my laptop at 720x480.
If you need help setting something like that up, please contact me and we can get in thouch on the phone and I'll walk you through.

That could work, but i would prefer if it´s dependent of nothing but the wireless router :)

Allright... fixed the buffering part. The wireless power save options was not disabled.
Only problem now is to have the popup/javascript/flash part enabled.
Any suggestions ?

JavaScript is disabled in Pocket IE by default. Are you assuming your users will be using a mix of browsers (e.g. IE, Netfront, etc)?

Why not setup the site similar to
PPCVIDZ? Using redirect tags, their site redirects PPC users to PPC formatted pages with direct links to multimedia, avoiding JavaScript hassles.
Just a suggestion.

You are missing the point.
I am NOT making the page. I am trying to access live video from an external page.

Ok...
The live video streams im trying to access is on the www.mlb.com page.
To access them i have to click links which triggers a popup window in which the videos is shown.
I can access the videos by typing the url directly in the media player, but im denied access because i cant type my logon/pass.

some website you can enter the passworded sections by entering the usl as something like
pass:user@www.website.com - obviously where pass and user as your usename and password.

Yes... but the problem is that the protocol is mms and my login includes a @. Let me give you an example :
Straight url :
mms://a1553.l1086960387.c10869.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/1553/10869/v0001/reflector:60387?auth=ca.dobqdVboarbGcRdVcTbwdeaZcr ccaNdX-bc3Pvq-8-zvqGIoE-r6mSnhr3p5mToT&aifp=v0001&ct1=mlb
Url with login :
mms://"username":******@4d.***:a1553.l1086960387.c10869. g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/1553/10869/v0001/reflector:60387?auth=ca.dobqdVboarbGcRdVcTbwdeaZcr ccaNdX-bc3Pvq-8-zvqGIoE-r6mSnhr3p5mToT&aifp=v0001&ct1=mlb
This is not working :(
