[question] can PocketMusic be converted to handle VGA?
someone recently converted the gsplayer executable file to utilize vga standards.
can this be done with pocketmusic or is the difference in the fact that gsplayer offers source code whereas pocketmusic is a retail item? ideas, thoughts, and converted files welcome.

I am pretty sure VGA has been supported since PocketMusic version 3.2. I really don't know for sure what it looks like on an unmodified x50v since I have SE_VGA installed. PocketMusic certainly looks like it is 640x480 since the Fusion skin looks clean and the playlist displays 10 songs with complete long file names. I also have the main display plus the EQ displayed as well.
I'd get the free version 3.7 and try it out with a good WinAmp Classic skin.

Try the Fusion skins. For the most part, the skin background objects will look good but any text or transport keys will look pixelated. A good example of this is the band markings in the EQ and the transport buttons in the main interface. All system fonts should be very tiny in true VGA mode.
A lot of my song titles are 40 to 60 characters in length and the full title is displayed in the playlist w/o scrolling.
