I need help too, I heard a lot of good things about TCPMP, but I cannot get it to play almost all of my videos. most of it is .avi and after I get it from the dvd and use Pocket DivX Converter, it just does not play on TCPMP, It just says, unknown format. Am I missing something here? please help

Make sure you have all the plugins for TCPMP installed, you can grab them from

http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/

For the AAC plugin, just Google it. ;) There are plenty of download locations. (I'm not going to post the link here in case it's not allowed.)

The only thing I had some trouble playing were dual-audio dual-sub mkv anime files. Normal .avi's are fine.

Hi!

I have recently bought an Axim X51V and I'm so happy with it!
A few days ago I've downloaded a movie in mp4 format, I mean with .mp4 extension.
So I installed TCPMP (0.81RC1 that was the only that "worked" on my PDA) and also installed a lot of plugins, included one that says is for AAC audio.
When I try to play that movie .mp4 appears this message:
LibFAAD LC,HE,PS AAC: This type of AAC audio stream is not supported.
The movie plays withouth sounds
Can I do something about it?

Thanks a lot for any help!

MiChi

PS: sorry about my bad english.

Does this work for you? I tried an mp4 file and it played that fine.
Could you please upload the old version of betaplayer.
The link above does not work. Thanks very much.

MP4 huh? And you can view the video? Do you know what the codec used is? If it's AVC then h.264 suprot must have recently been added to tcpmp. Right now my version of coreplayer can play AVC but not tcpmp. On the other side, coreplayer can't play ac3 sound and tcpmp can.

No, 0.81RC1 is an unsupported version that someone else bashed together with some odd skinning code, IIRC. And also from what I recall, neither TCPMP or CoreAVC can support FAAD at the moment; I've tried on both, and it fails.

Anyone looking for the AVC / AAC decoders: see my latets H.264 Bible here at the Apps forum for links.
